To make New Zealand a better place by providing young New Zealanders with opportunities that enhance their leadership skills and values, creating community, role models and future leaders.
The Trust was established by Lady Fisher in March 1975 shortly after the death of her husband of forty years Sir Woolf Fisher.
The trust continues to support many of the charities that were endowed by Lady Fisher.
The youth leadership charities
The Trusts commitment is to identify and develop future leaders at primary and intermediate school age. In keeping with Lady Fisher’s legacy, the Trust’s emphasis is directed toward Maori, Pasifika and disadvantaged youth, with a focus towards South Auckland.
The Trust prefers to not overlap with causes that are being assisted by other charitable trusts associated with the Fisher and Paykel families.
